You and Your Wedding 25th Anniversary Issue

Amidst the height of wedding season pandemonium, we were delighted to be asked to create a cake for the cover issue of You and Your Weddings' 25th anniversary edition! We were so excited to be on the cover!! You and Your Wedding had a fab party to celebrate and we went along (with a celebratory cake of course!) to enjoy the party. It was fantastic evening! Thanks so much to Chloe Paul for the gorgeous shot of the cake!

New cakes for features

We have been very excited to be working with Victoria Sullivan, Style Editor at Wedding magazine to come up with some exciting and unusual cakes for features in the gorgeous Wedding mag! We made some rather quirky cakes for a shoot earlier in the year, here's the page. We are loving the Candy Table trend and have lots of gorgeous cakes, cake pops and cookies that can be themed into any sweet table.

Fancy Nancy nominated for Small Shop of the Year!

I was absolutely thrilled to be nominated by our local MP David Amess for Small Shop of the Year. I attended the awards ceremony at The House of Commons with Simon and it was a fab day, we were very well looked after and were given a fantastic tour of the place by David, what an amazing time!

News update!

Goodness me its been such a busy year! Can't believe its almost Xmas....eeeek! Once again we are doing some gorgeous chrimbo cakes and cookies for Harvey Nichols, and we will be having a shop full of yummy and exciting treats. Also hoping to confirm dates for our special Xmas cake masterclasses, these will be held in the shop in Leigh-on-sea and also in a fantastic location in Central London (tbc!) so we will keep you posted! Also, I have been VERY slack updating the blog with some of the fantastic news that's been happening at Fancy Nancy this year, so I am posting the past few months news up now (better late than never!) seeing as I'm not up to my elbows in Wedding cakes at the moment! A quick breather week before all the Xmas production is underway!

Fancy nancy at New Covent Garden Market

We have got our wonderful piccies back from Kate at Craig Williams photography from our day at the flower market. It was a fantastic day, hosted by Victoria Sullivan at Wedding magazine. Fancy Nancy were there to showcase some new cake designs that were dressed with beautiful fresh flowers, thanks to Mary Jayne Vaughan for organising all the gorgeous flowers, and of course to Graham at Zest who so kindly donated all of the flowers for the day. It was a big hit all round! Here are some shots from the day of our team and our cakes!! We are really excited to be asked to come along and join Wedding Magazine for an exclusive reader event at Coast's flagship store on Regent Street on 6th July. We will be on hand to offer advice and yummy samples for beautiful wedding cakes or cookies for the brides to be, along with other experts to help with those agonising wedding decisions.........looking forward to a great evening!
